Brews by the Lock Drive

End:   Lock 15 Brewing, 21 W. North St., Akron, OH 44304

What better place to spend a fall afternoon than sampling award-winning beers in a former-tire-factory-turned brewery next to the Cascade Valley Trailhead and the historic Mustill Store Museum alongside the Towpath Trail?

We’ll convene at the Panera Bread, 118 W. Streetsboro Street in the Hudson Plaza (just west of the intersection of Routes 303 and 91) to register and sign waivers at 10 a.m. As always, grab a snack and beverage to keep you going on the drive which will start promptly at 10:30 a.m.

We’ll roam a bit of the Cuyahoga Valley National Park before entering the domain of the Summit County Metroparks. We’ll end steps from Lock 15 in the Cascade Valley Parks near the Mustill Store Museum at the former Swinehart Tire Factory turned Lock 15 Brewing around 12:30 p.m.

Sample their award-winning beers or any others that strike your fancy and order from their menu. As always, all food and drink expenses are the participants’ responsibilities.

Afterward you can cross the bridge to the trailhead and museum if you wish to visit.
