End of Summer Festivaleos pic1

The calendar may say that summer ends in September, but we all know that once school starts, summer is really gone. So, to enjoy one of the last weekends in summer, we've arranged an outing among the many attractions at Fun-N-Stuff on Friday, August 23, from 6 to 10 p.m.

Among their attractions are two miniature golf courses, go-karts, climbing wall, laser tag, bumper boats, bungee bounce, roller skating, and bowling.

Pre-Registration Required. Check must accompany Registration Form. Payment: $20 per person.

It was sunny and warm . . . and that was before the intrepid visitors descended into the basements and climbed into the attics. However, the history and resourcefulness of the Zoar community founders was evident long before NOC members got to the detailed tour.

Thirty individuals took a scenic drive through the country and into quaint Navarre and Bolivar before arriving at the historic Canal Tavern of Zoar for a pleasant lunch in June. From the Tavern it was a short trek over the Tuscarawas River and the remanents of the Canal into Zoar to explore the historic, endangered town. Most members ofted to take the once-a-year special tour behind-the-scenes and learn more from the very knowledgeable docents during the summer afternoon and head home contrasting modern day with historic yesteryear.

Woodcliff Lake, N.J. – June 11, 2013 … The BMW 3 Series Coupe has again earned the Edmunds.com Best Retained Value® award for the $35K-$45K Coupe category. Edmunds determined each model's competitive segment based on body type and sales-weighted average manufacturer suggested retail price of all available styles of that model's body type. Edmunds.com's Best Retained Value® Awards for 2013 recognize brands and models that have the highest projected residual value after five years.  In recognizing the BMW 3 Series Coupe, the editors at Edmunds.com noted, “Regardless of body style, the 2013 BMW 3 Series is an impressively well-rounded and highly desirable entry-level luxury car.”

The BMW 3 Series Coupe, which is available as a 240-horsepower 328i Coupe or 300-horsepower 335i Coupe model, combines excellent performance and legendary BMW driving dynamics with class-leading value thanks to its excellent results in retained value and through the BMW Ultimate Service® No Cost maintenance program.

Winetour1

The day wasn't quite as sunny as predicted. The lake breeze was not quite as warm as we would have liked.  However, that didn't stop 46 people and 25 cars from making the tour from Bainbridge through horse country into Chardon's square and onward into the heart of Ohio's wine region. The group ended their 1.5 drive at the Lakehouse Inn and Winery right on the shores of Lake Erie, enjoying the view, the wine, and their meals.

Don’t Miss The Allegheny Chapter’s Annual BMW Gathering At The Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix!

The Allegheny Chapter has laid out a host of activities across the Schenley Park weekend and is extending a special welcome to all Z-car owners. This year’s trackside corral in Schenley Park will feature BMW Z cars; we hope to see at least 150 Zeds in the park!

The festivities begin on Thursday, July 18, with an afternoon visit to the 9-11 Memorial in Shanksville, Pennsylvania, followed by an evening dinner at Pittsburgh’s Haufbrauhaus. More road time is in store for Friday, as the Z-Bimmers lead a scenic covered-bridge tour, which includes a lunch along one of Pittsburgh’s famous three rivers. Friday concludes with a welcome dinner at the Pittsburgh Golf Club featuring Roundel Writer, Rob Siegel, as keynote speaker.

On Saturday and Sunday, we will join over 2,000 cars for an international car show, vintage racing, a catered lunch, and an all-day hospitality tent, courtesy of BMW CCA’s social partner, Spaten beer.
