Fenton Art Glass Master Craftsman Event
 Join us on Saturday, April 24, for a quick drive to Williamstown, West Virginia, home of Fenton Art Glass. We’ll see a video overview of the facility, wander through the museum and gift shop, and attend an hour-long master craftsman “up close and personal” demonstration event. Afterwards, we’ll cross the Ohio to have a late lunch in Marietta where you’re free to explore the shops later or, if you have pre-registered, return to Fenton for a one-hour glass decorating class, taking home a bell, an ornament, or a sun-catcher.
We’ll meet at the Panera Bread on the western side of Route 77 just south of Portage Street in North Canton (6543 Strip Avenue NW or see http://www.panerabread.com/cafes/find.php) around 8:40 for check-in; departure will be promptly at 9 a.m. I’d recommend getting a snack to tide you over until our late lunch. We’ll travel southbound, arriving just after 11 in Williamstown. This will give us a chance to wander Fenton before the noon event (http://www.fentongiftshop.com/MasterCraftsman.htm).
After the demo, we’ll cross over to Marietta for a late lunch at the Lafayette Hotel’s Riverview Lounge (http://www.lafayettehotel.com/pages.php?name=lounge). Review the representative house menu; items range from $7-24 (http://www.lafayettehotel.com/pages.php?name=house). Then you are on your own to wander the shops and riverfront. If you have done an individualized registration for the Fenton special decorating workshop at 3:00 p.m. (http://www.fentongiftshop.com/workshops/Decorating.htm) (limited spaces), you can cross the Ohio for the class and head home on your own afterwards.
